ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, who is on an official visit to Brunei Darusslam, on Tuesday held separate meetings with top military leadership of the country and discussed with them professional matters.

The naval chief discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and stability during his meetings with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Commander, Royal Brunei Land Force Commander and Royal Brunei Navy Commander, according to a Pakistan Navy press release.

Earlier upon his arrival at the naval headquarters, the naval chief was received by the Brunei naval commander. He was presented the guard of honour.

Admiral Abbasi visited various naval installations of Brunei Darussalam, including a naval ship where he was given a briefing on the country’s naval fleet. The visit would further strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries, especially their naval forces, the press release added.
