QUETTA: The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has decided to postpone the parliamentary group’s meeting, which was scheduled to be held on Tuesday (today) to discuss the situation after differences emerged between Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani and Balochistan Assembly Speaker Qudoos Bizenjo.

The decision was announced on Monday after Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani called a meeting with Mr Alyani. Mr Sanjrani has been playing a role in sorting out differences between Mr Alyani and Mr Bizenjo. Mr Sanjrani and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak on Sunday met Mr Bizenjo in Islamabad where the latter shared his reservations with them.

Talking to media after the meeting, Mr Sanjrani said Mr Bizenjo’s reservations would be addressed on a priority basis. “We have resolved the tension between Mr Alyani and Mr Bizenjo,” he added.

Mr Alyani would now hold a meeting with Mr Sanjrani on Tuesday to discuss the situation.

Mr Bizenjo during his meeting with Mr Sanjrani and Mr Khattak had expressed full trust in them.

However, the privilege motions against Mr Alyani, Zahoor Buledi and Senator Sarfaraz Bugti are yet to be withdrawn.
