KARACHI: Sachal police were probing the murder of an estate agent who was gunned down in the same area on Thursday night, according to officials.

They added that Gul Hasan, 35, was shot dead near the housing society of Karachi Bar Association popularly known as Wakeel Society.

He had gone there to meet his relatives. As he left the society in a car heading towards Safoora Goth armed pillion riders opened fire on him and fled. He sustained critical bullet wounds and died. The investigators collected four spent bullet casings from the crime scene.

Station investigation officer Zulfiqar Bhangwar said that the victim was an estate agent dealing with goths and other properties located in Scheme-33. He originally hailed from Shikarpur district where his body was taken for burial. The officer said that they were waiting for his family to lodge an FIR.

The officer ruled out possibility of any robbery bid. He said that the murder might be related to personal enmity.
