RAWALPNDI: A teenager was shot dead at her house in Rawat on Monday night, police said.

Amjad Javaid told the police that he was watching television when he heard the sound of gunshots in the courtyard. When he rushed out, his daughter, Nimra Javaid, 18, was lying in a pool of blood. The injured was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Separately, three robberies were committed in the city on Monday.

Imran Ahmad Butt told police that he was working at his cargo office on Liaquat Road when four armed men snatched Rs45,000 and two mobile phones from him and escaped.

Imran Khan, a shopkeeper, complained to the Cantt police that two robbers looted Rs55,000 from his shop.

Mohammad Yasin, a resident of Civil Lines, told police that four robbers entered his house and took away cash, valuables and a car.
