ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Umar Khan will meet Ahsan Ramzan in the Jubilee Insurance U-18 National Ranking Championship final on Tuesday here at the Pakistan Sports Complex.

In the semi-finals held on Monday, Punjab’s Umer battled past Shehryar Khan of Sindh 70-31, 73-43, 106-8 (106), 59-17. He also scored a 106 break in the third frame, which is the highest of the tournament so far.

Meanwhile, Ahsan Ramzan, also of Punjab, recorded a comfortable 70-07, 63-49, 71-41, 60-1 victory against province-mate Shehryar Abbas in the other semi-final.

Earlier in the quarter-finals, Umar defeated Zubair Tahir of Punjab 4-0 (59-2, 67-41, 60-2, 58-18); Shehryar beat Malik Muzammil Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 4-1 (56-30, 57-52, 35-68, 85-0, 55-43); Ahsan overwhelmed Mohammad Hamza Ilyas of Punjab 4-0 (66-44, 83-65, 74-09, 76-48(64)); and Mohammad Shehryar Abbas overcame Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kamran Albert Masih 4-2 (50-60, 65-32, 65-03, 62-13, 60-61,71-30).
