CHARSADDA: Two people were killed and another was injured when rival groups clashed over a garbage dumping dispute in the limits of Prang police station here on Saturday.

The police said that the rival groups opened indiscriminate fire at each other after exchanging harsh words over garbage dumping issue. As a result, one person from each group was killed, while another was injured. The victims were identified as Manzar Ali and Naveed.

The police said that a woman relative of one of the slain men, Manzar Ali, suffered cardiac arrest after hearing about the clash and died on the spot.

The police registered cross FIRs and started further investigations.
