PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to extend the winter vacation of educational institutions till January 7 due to chilly weather in the province.

The government took the decision on the demands of the parents, a senior official of the education department said. The winter vacation in the educational institutions had started on Dec 22 and was to end on January 1.

However, the government decided to extend the vacation amid extreme cold and fog. The education department will release a notification in this regard on Monday (today).
