HYDERABAD: Zarai Tarqyati Bank Limited (ZTBL) team defeated Suk­kur in the final to win the 14th Pakistan National Shoot­ingball Championship organised in Hussainabad, Hyderabad.

The shootingball championship commenced on the 20th in Sarwari Sports Complex and ended on Sunday evening.

The ZTBL team secured first position. Earlier Sahiwal defeated Faisalabad with a big margin. Hydera­bad, Larkana, Punjab Police and Dera Ghazi Khan teams clinched 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th positions respectively. Sindh secretary Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah was the chief guest. President Pakistan Shooting Ball Federation Agha Sohail and others presented awards and trophies to players.

The wining team got Rs 200,000 and runner up Rs 100,000 while Sahiwal received Rs50,000 while other competing teams were given Rs25,000 each.
