PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that the government is trying to utilise all available resources to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a model province.

He claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf was the only party that had taken serious and sincere steps to streamline the institutions and economy, which was crippled by previous corrupt governments.

He was talking to MPAs from different constituencies of the province on Sunday, said an official statement.

Mahmood Khan said that the government had initiated several steps for improvement of institutions and introduced reforms to ensure overall development of the province.

He said that with the help of sincere people not only this province but the country as a whole would also be put on the path of development and prosperity soon. The people will soon feel relief, he said.

The chief minister said that PTI was fulfilling all the promises it had made with the people. “We never compromised on our manifesto and vision before and will not do so in the future,” he said.

Mahmood Khan said that the government had taken initiatives and empowered the institutions on priority basis so as to eradicate corruption and nepotism. He said that the government had made a long-term plan for overall development of the province.
