Lahore to Sahiwal cycle race

LAHORE: Punjab Cycling Association is organizing an International Road Cycle Race from Lahore to Sahiwal on Saturday (today) to celebrate the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in a befitting manners.

All affiliated units of Pakistan Cycling Federation including the four provinces, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Wapda, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Police, Higher Education Commission will take part in the cycle race.

The race will start from Punjab Stadium, Lahore at 08.30am and will pas through Multan Road National Highway to culminate at Sahiwal at 1.30pm.

At Sahiwal, Akbar Murad, Divisional Officer Sports and Naeem Nisar who is President, Sahiwal Cycling Association will receive the cyclists at the finish line. Commissioner Sahiwal Division will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony and will distribute the trophies and cash awards to the winners.

Chuadhry Noraiz Shakoor Khan, Chairman Pakistan Cycling Federation, will be the guest of honour.
