ABBOTTABAD: Three members of a family died due to gas leak in Khanqa Rajoiya area of Havelian tehsil here on Saturday night.

According to the police, Inspector Jehangir Khan, who was presently posted at CTD Torghar district, along with his wife, Musarrat Shaheen and an eight-year old son named Ahmad went to their room for sleep while leaving a gas heater on during the night.

However, on Sunday morning, when they didn’t wake up at the usual time, other family members started knocking at their door.

Later, when they didn’t respond, the family members broke the door and found all the three dead.

Later, the bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Havelian where doctors confirmed that their death was caused by gas leak.

After autopsy, the bodies were handed over to relatives.
