MINGORA: A transgender person has appealed to the authorities to provide justice to him as some influential people have illegally occupied his house and evicted him forcefully from his hometown in Bajaur tribal district.

Sharifullah alias Shaheen appealed to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa to provide justice to him.

Talking to journalists here, he said that he lived in Maminzo village in Bajaur. He added that one day his neighbours asked him to give two of his daughters to them in marriage.

“I refused because my daughters are young and I want to educate them. The neighbours entered my house in my absence and beat my family,” he alleged.

He said that he went to the local police station to register a complaint against his neighbours but police put him in the lockup for 15 days. He said his neighbours were influential people and had contacts with authorities including police.

He said that one day they tortured him and forcefully occupied his house after expelling him from the village. He said that he knocked at every door but nobody helped him.

Bajaur DPO Pir Shahab, when contacted, said that the Shaheen must meet him immediately. “Police will help him,” he said, adding that law was equal for all.
