NEW DELHI: Mr. M.A. Jinnah, President, All-India Muslim League in a statement on his talks with the Sind Premier and President of the Sind Provincial Muslim League, indicates that an agreement was reached on the question of [agriculture minister] Mr. Roger Thomas’s appointment. The talks centred around six points, viz, the pending bye-elections in the Sind Assembly, conduct and supervision of the forthcoming League elections, the appointment of Mr. Roger Thomas, the Assembly Party’s powers to enter into coalitions, carrying out of certain items of the League programme and the question of corruption in the Sind administration.

[Meanwhile, as reported from London,] The Persian Parliament has adopted a Private Members Bill prohibiting all oil concessions by any Persian Government to any foreign Government or company in future. Exploitation, though not the sale of Persian oil resources, must henceforth in all cases remain in Persian hands, according to [agency’s] diplomatic correspondent.

Further no Persian Government may negotiate for sale to foreigners of Persian oil products without consulting Parliament.
