BUNER: Leaders of various opposition parties in a meeting at Daggar here on Thursday decided to hold a series of protest demonstrations on every Monday till the ouster of what they called ‘selected’ government.

According to the decision, under the plan the first protest would be staged on Monday at Jowar, the tehsil headquarters of Salarzai, second one on the following Monday at the tehsil headquarters Pacha Chowk and the third one at tehsil headquarters Daggar and so on.

ANP leader Afsar Khan of Sultanwas chaired the meeting, which was attended by leaders and activists of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, Pakistan Peoples Party, Qaumi Watan Party, PML-N and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

Briefing mediapersons soon after the meeting, Afsar Khan and Mufti Fazal Ghafoor announced that the opposition parties would stage protests on every Monday so as to force the government to quit.

They alleged that the government had failed to fulfil promises it had made with the people. They said that the government had failed on all fronts. They claimed that ouster of this incompetent government was the only solution to the country’s problems.

They asked the local leaders and workers of the political parties to participate in the protests for their bright future.
