3 basketball matches held

KARACHI: Iftikhar Syed Academy, District Korangi and District East won their basketball ties on the opening day of DMC East Karachi Mini Basketball Olympics which commenced at Abdul Nasir Court, Arambagh on Sunday.

In the first match of the day, Iftikhar Syed Academy beat District East 46-40. Main scorers for the winners were Hassan (17 points) while Salar Hussain and Nihal scored 10 points each.

In the second match, District Korangi overcame District Malir 32-28. Hamza Khawaja and Shariq were the main scorers for the winners. They scored 16 and 11 points respectively.

In third match of the day, District East easily beat District West 48-40. Main scorers for the winners were Richard 18, Anwar 14 and Andre Turner 10 points.
