TAXILA: Police on Friday arrested two persons suspected of killing a woman and burying her body in a well located in Lossar Sharfoo, an area in the limits of Wah Saddar police station.

Investigating officer Sub Inspector Mohammed Mumtaz told newsmen that Mohammed Riaz, a resident of Kakul, reported to police that five people called his wife to do house work as a maid but got her involved in immoral activities. He added that later the suspects strangled her to death and threw her body in a well after she developed differences with them over money.

The investigating officer said acting on the report, police registered a case against the nominated male suspects, who confessed to the crime during interrogation, adding that it took two days for the rescue officials to recover the body. A hunt is underway to arrest the other suspects.
