KARACHI: Asher Mir, Zain Ehtisham, Ahmed Nael Qureshi and Ibrahim Yousaf (USA) advanced into the semifinals of Rotary Club Karachi ATF U-14 Super Series tennis championship leg-2 here by winning their respective matches in straight sets at DHA Creek Club courts.

Nael Qureshi from Islamabad was in fine touch and did not allow his opponent to settle down throughout the match with his power full shots. He won his match 6-0,6-1. Zain Ehtisham of Karachi cruised to victory in his match against Kashan Tariq. winning 6-1,6-0. Ibrahim Yousaf from USA, meanwhile, struggle hard in his match against Yahya Luni of Islamabad before winning 6-3,6-4.

The best match of the day was held between Syed Raahim bin Veqar and Ibrahim Sajjad which lasted one hour and 30 minutes. Ibrahim, however, won the thrilling match despite losing the first set at 3-6. Ibrahim won the final set at super tie break to secure 9th position.

U-14 Boys (quarter-finals): Ahmed Nael Qureshi bt Rayan Ahmed 6-1,6-0; Zain Ehtisham bt Kashan |Tariq 6-0,6-1; Ibrahim Noman Yousaf (USA) bt Yahya Luni 6-3,6-4; Asher Mir bt Nadir Mirza 6-1, 6-0.

Boys singles (9th/10 th position match):Ibrahim Sajjad bt Syed Raahim Bin Veqar 3-6, 6-4, 10-7

Girls singles (3th/4th position match): Natalia Zaman bt Varisha Khan 6-4, 0-6, 7-5

Sindh ranking tennis results:

Nael Mirza bt Ibrahim Yousaf 4-1,4-0; Ibrahim Sajjad bt Nibras 4-0, 4-1.
