QUETTA: The Chehlum of Shuhada-i-Karbala was observed across Balochistan with solemnity on Sunday.

Processions were taken out in Quetta, Khuzdar, Sibi, Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Allahyar, Loralai, Zhob, Dear Bugti, Jhal Magsi and Hub.

The main procession in Quetta was taken out from Nasirabad Imambargah, Mariabad. The procession passed through the designated points, including Alamdar Road, Art School Road and Archer Road.

Processions from other Imambargahs of the town merged into the central procession. The administration had sealed the entire route by deploying a heavy contingent of police, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Constabulary. Walk-through gates were installed at entry points to the processions.

Close circuit cameras were installed at important points.
