LAHORE: The Lahore High Court spokesperson clarifies that Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan has not been denied visa by the US embassy.

In a statement, the spokesperson said a press release issued by the Lahore High Court Bar Association, which many national dailies published on Saturday, shared incomplete information about the visa issue of the chief justice.

It said the US embassy had not refused visa to the chief justice and rather sought more documents during the interview that had also been furnished to the embassy by the LHC.

The chief justice had an invitation to attend a judicial conference in the US.

The bar had in its press release condemned the US embassy for denying visa to the chief justice and demanded that the embassy expedited the process so that the CJ could proceed to the US.
