HYDERABAD: Deputy District Attorney Kausar Talpur of Hyderabad in her application submitted in the Supreme Court, Sindh High Court (SHC), provincial law minister and other competent authorities complained of harassment by people connected with two civil suits.
She said she had been facing verbal assaults at the behest of an MPA and other litigants and on Friday last (Oct 4) an unknown person tried to forcibly open the door of her car but her driver intervened.
The unidentified person escaped. She said her life was in danger for not accepting pressure as the reports and comments favouring government were filed in the suits.
Identifying the two suits in her application, Ms Talpur pointed out that the MPA and his brothers were facing investigations undertaken by the National Accountability Bureau in the alleged grabbing of government land. She said the MPA was trying to get her transferred and on Oct 3, she was transferred from the court of the second senior civil judge to that of the seventh senior civil judge.
The complainant also spoke of misbehaviour with her on the part of the Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA) president, who is representing suspects.
She has made several other claims in her application.
