Bahria Town

Published September 18, 2019

APROPOS Naziha Syed Ali’s investigative piece ‘Bahria Town & others: Greed unbound’ (Sept 12).

How can our state stop Bahria Town if the bigwigs support it? BTK hired privileged retired high state officials and used them to do land grabbing openly.

No one can dare raise the issue of Bahria’s delayed projects that the ordinary people paid for and have been waiting for over 20 years. Unfortunately in our country, the elite always get away with their crimes.

RESPECT and kudos to Dawn for this daring and incredible investigative reporting by Naziha Syed Ali. It is amazing that this article got published, but equally sad is the fact that the courts, the National Accountability Bureau and the government, with all their men and horses, have not been able to catch and punish the suspects.

Truly sad that in this age of technology and human rights, the feudal system, which has the police at its feet, is still as strong today as it was 100 years ago! Shame on the system that has been sucking the country dry and has enslaved its weakest citizens!
