WHILE the international community stands by, the lockdown and curfew in Indian-occupied Kashmir continue unabated bringing unimaginable horrors and challenges for the occupied valley’s unfortunate people.

Pakistan while doing its best to awaken the conscience of the international community, needs to knock on every door to seek justice for the Kashmiri people. As Islamabad continues its efforts to get the United Nations and other world forums to do the needful, it should explore other avenues.

American President Donald Trump made an offer recently to mediate between Pakistan and India on Kashmir. Trump’s offer was welcomed by Pakistan. Islamabad should now ask Washington to walk the talk and resolve the Kashmir issue.
