ISLAMABAD: Wild growth and vegetation are being removed from different areas of the city clean and green campaign, says Capital Development Authority.

“In order to remove wild growth, rank vegetation and to improve overall cleanliness of the city, CDA and Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT) have initiated a clean and green campaign along with Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). The purpose of this campaign is to revive clean and green status of Islamabad,” says a press release issued by CDA on Monday.

It said that work continued on Muharram 9 too, which is a gazetted holiday, adding that significant area of the city has been cleared from rank vegetation while the whole city will be covered within one week.

“Work in the sectors like G-10, I-10 and all other areas is in progress and will be cleared during the next week,” the statement said.
