KARACHI: A solid all-round show from Hanif Shehzad guided Pakistan Lawyers Cricket Association (PLCA) to a third consecutive triumph in the first Sindh High Court Independence Day Cup Colour-kit T20 Cricket Tournament at the UBL Sports Complex here on Sunday.

After claiming three wickets for 12 runs in three overs to restrict Karachi Bar Cricket Association (KBCA) to 140-9, Hanif hit up 37 in the unbroken partnership of 73 with Atif Baig as PLCA reached 143-4 in 17.5 overs to secure a comprehensive six-wicket victory.

Sindh High Court (SHC) Blues, meanwhile, finally celebrated their first success in three matches as they overpowered Thunder Wolves by a convincing margin of 70 runs in the morning fixture.

Mohammad Asim excelled for the winning side with a handy knock of 33 and figures of 3-22 in four overs. Also making telling contributions were Kamran Umar (41) and Manzoor Maqsood (39) to help SHC Blues post 196-8.

Seamer Usman Khan was another star for SHC Blues by picking four wickets for only 21 runs in four overs.
