LAHORE: Five people, including two women, were injured after a cylinder and a pressure cooker exploded in separate incidents in the city on Tuesday.

The cylinder exploded in a shop near Thokar Niaz Beg where two customers were present besides the owner.

Witnesses told police the blast occurred shortly after the cylinder caught fire, which injured the three people. They were rushed to a hospital.

In the other incident, Shazia, 30, and Samina, 29, received multiple injuries when a pressure cooker expl-oded in the kitchen of their house on Kacha Jail Road.

The Kot Lakhpat police said the injured women were shifted to a hospital.
