KARACHI: Spinner Mohammad Asghar and all-rounder Danish Aziz played key roles in enabling defending champions Pakistan CC beat Larkana’s Brothers CC by nine wickets in the second PCB Fazal Mahmood National Club Cricket Championship Inter-region competition at the Naya Nazimabad Stadium.

Brothers CC posted 145-7 in 40 overs after opting to bat first at the toss. Aamir Pah­nwar was the top-scorer with 75 (eight boundaries). Slow left-armer Asghar snared 4-18 while discarded international Anwar Ali took 2-28.

Pakistan CC knocked of the required runs in 23.1 overs by reaching 147-1, thanks to Danish’s unbeaten knock of 72 that included six fours and one six..
