SWABI: A teenager shot dead four members of his family over a land dispute here on Sunday evening.

Police said Sohail Khan, 15, an eighth grader in a government school, forced his way into the house of his grandmother in Shalkhy village and attacked the family members.

Noorul Amin, SHO Swabi city police station, told Dawn that FIR had been registered against the killer by wife of Aman Khan, the grandmother of the accused.

She told police that her grandson entered her house and opened indiscriminate fire, and as a result, wife of Abdulzaman, her two daughters, Khushboo, 10, Ashman, 8, and a few months old son of Mohammad Zaman were killed on the spot.

Abdulzaman and Mohammad Zaman are sons of the complainant, who said the accused escaped after the shooting.

The cause of the incident was stated to be an enmity erupted about three months ago on a piece of land.

Abdulzaman was also killed three months ago.

The funeral prayers of the victims were offered on Monday with the people demanding immediate arrest of the killer.
