HARIPUR: District police officer Dr Zahidullah Jan has directed the SHOs and heads of police posts to ensure foolproof security during Eid days across the Haripur district.

This he said while speaking to the participants of a meeting that was held at his office to review the security arrangements in the district during Eidul Azha.

Additional superintendent of police Zulfiqar Jadoon, SP investigations Asif Gohar, SHOs of police stations and heads of police posts were in attendance.

The DPO, after detailed discussion on the security matters, asked the SHOs and in-charges of police posts to take flawless measures so that the goal of providing maximum security to the life and property of citizens could be achieved.

He stressed on enhanced patrolling and snap-checking in bazaars, markets, entry and exit points of the city with deployment of increased number of police personnel.

He warned that any officer or police personnel found guilty of negligence in duty would be dealt with under police rules.

The DPO also asked the traffic staff to ensure smooth flow of traffic during Eid days as the tourists from across the country were likely to use the Haripur roads for reaching Galiyat and upper parts of Hazara and beyond. He directed the traffic policemen to exhibit courtesy while dealing with tourists.
