MIRAMSHAH: Four children were critically injured in a landmine explosion in North Waziristan tribal district on Wednesday, officials and hospital sources said.

The incident took place in an area of Razmak tehsil adjacent to the South Waziristan tribal district. Officials said that children were walking outside their house when the landmine exploded. Two of them were critically injured.

The wounded children identified as Mokhlis Khan, Saifuddin, Rehmanullah and Bismillah were referred to Peshawar for treatment. The victims belong to Bazikhel area.
