TAXILA: Dozens of fertiliser dealers in various towns of Attock district were fined for violating the official price list of fertiliser.

Rawalpindi region Agriculture Department Director Sajjad Haider paid a surprise visit to various towns of the district and imposed a fine of Rs51,000 on different dealers for selling fertiliser at exorbitant rates and in violation of official price list.

The director also paid a surprise visit to Attock district agriculture office and checked the attendance and progress of the staff.

Meanwhile, the district price magistrate booked two butchers under price control act for selling meat at exorbitant rates.

Moreover, in Hassanabdal, Assistant Commissioner Adnan Anjum Raja launched a crackdown on hotels located on G.T. Road and imposed heavy fines on two hotels for not observing hygiene in their kitchens.
