NEW DELHI: The Cultural Attache of the Saudi Arabian Embassy, Sheikh Hussain bin Mohammad al Suleiman, was found murdered in his flat in the fashionable locality in Old City of Delhi today [June 23].

His attendant, whom he had taken into service recently, was also found dead. Both bodies bore stab wounds on head, neck and back indicative of struggle.

Police were first informed of the murder by the Saudi Arabian Embassy early in the afternoon. According to Police, the murders were committed by two or more people. No arrests have been made.

The 62-year-old Sheikh was a bachelor and had been in India for a long time.

[Meanwhile, according to agencies in Islam­abad,] Foreign Ministers of Iran and Turkey arrive in Rawalpindi tomorrow [June 24] to lead their respective countries’ delegations to the 10th session of the Ministerial Council of Regional Co-operation for Development. Soon after their arrival, Mr Ardeshir Zahedi of Iran and Mr Ihsan Sabri Caglayangil of Turkey will call on President Yahya Khan and Vice-Admiral S.M. Ahsan, a Member of the Council of Administration.
