ISLAMABAD: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in capital, police said on Tuesday.

In the first incident, a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a vehicle at Jhangi Syedan. The victim was identified as Naseebullah.

The driver of the vehicle managed to escape. The police shifted him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In another incident, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle at Rawat, the police said, adding that the incident took place when he was crossing the road and the vehicle ran over him.

The driver sped the vehicle away, the police said, adding later the injured was shifted to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, some thieves stole gold ornaments worth Rs300,000 from the house of Abdul Kareem, located in F-11/1, the police said.

Furthermore, some auto thieves lifted a Suzuki Mehran of Mohammad Saeed from outside of his house located in Sohan, they added.
