What is an average middle-income family spending on? To answer this question, a survey ran on Dawn.com that was answered by 1,100 people across 80 cities. Unsurprisingly, results indicated that a typical family spends more than two-thirds of household income paying essential bills with less than a third left for savings, day-to-day expenses, clothes etc. The budget’s higher taxes will further bite into this meagre amount.
