KARACHI: A small and mediocre three-card has been dished out for the Gymkhana race meeting which takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

Only fewer number of 18 horses have entered the fray due to ongoing heatwave in the metropolis.

Two horses — Sharapova and Salam-e-Kaif — will run under new names — Sanobor and Baba Jani respectively.

Five horses have entered the third and last race which is also the feature, event scale order III and IV, to be contested over four furlongs.

The second and the supporting race — scale order V, VI and VII — also has a field of five horses and will be run over four furlongs.

The first race — scale order VII and VIII — will see eight horses vying for honours. It will also go over four furlongs.

The first race starts at 4.30pm.

Aas Pass 9-4, Sonia Again 8-12, Sassy Gold 8-9, Big Star 8-8, Wifi 8-8, Sanobor (Sharapova) 8-2, Mehak 7-11, Leading Spirit 7-4.

Win: Big Star.

Place: Aas Pass and Sanobor.

THE KARACHI PLATE SCALE ORDER V, VI AND VII 4 F:

Royal Salute 9-3, Dazzling Diva 9-0, Lovely Baby 9-0, Duran Duran 8-5, Kahkashan 7-2.

Win: Dazzling Diva.

Place: Royal Salute.

THE KARACHI PLATE SCALE ORDER III AND IV 4 F:

Parachuter 9-0, Baba Jani (Salam-e-Kaif) 8-10, Tip Top 8-4, Skype 8-4, Dhannak 8-0.

Win: Tip Top.

Place: Baba Jani.
