LAHORE: The PML-N submitted an application on Wednesday to the Punjab Assembly speaker seeking production order of opposition leader Hamza Shahbaz to attend the budget session on Friday.

The NAB has arrested Hamza in money laundering, income beyond means and Ramzan Sugar Mills inquiries.

Former speaker of the Punjab Assembly MPA Rana Iqbal submitted the application to the assembly secretary. The speaker has not yet issued Hamza’s production order.

Meanwhile, speaking at the PML-N provincial parliamentary party meeting through video link from Islamabad, its president Shahbaz Sharif said the opposition leaders were facing political victimisation at the hands of the PTI government. He said the PML-N leaders deserved tribute for facing the testing times bravely.
