@Surya Kant , "Modi is a great leader" No he isn't , none of the promises he made in 2014 has been fulfilled ... instead , he is clever enough to change the focus from his failed promises to "nationalism " .. he doesn't need to tell us to love our motherland "INDIA" . instead he should answer as to what happened to the promise of bringing back black money from offshore accounts , what happened to the promise of generating 10 million jobs ( we are at the highest unemployment rate in the last 40 years.) . I voted for BJP in 2014 but i choose not to vote at all because they all are crooks either these politicians are smart enough to make fool us everytime OR we are all dumb to not see this happening to us !

This victory was so predictable Government approval ratings never went below 50% throughout these 5 years Opinion polls through out always showed modi is winning Growth and reforms showed results, India's average GDP growth stood at 7.3% Inflation was kept under 5% which was in double digits 1.5crore homes were built, 10crore LPG connections were given, 12.5crore mudra loans were distributed, medicine prices capped. Farmers got pension, Corp insurance soil card etc. Poor got 5 lakh insurance , FDI at it's highest. Infrastructure growth at it's highest. Not a single instance of corruption and all projects running on time. Things like GST which was in cold storage for decades was implemented and tremendous political will shown against terrorism. These are facts in numbers. Liberals and commies tried to portray these things in a different light but they failed miserably because a common man is seeing these things happening in their day today life. Modi deserve this . Kudos to him

The Indian electorate, much like our own seems less to care about policies and more about personalities who have a proven track record of honesty and are allegedly free from the stigma of corruption or promoting their own family members in politics, i.e. shunning or not being able tp practice nepotism. Does the electorate really know what they have let themselves in for? I'm afraid not. In his campaign I don't believe he ever mentioned poverty alleviation, universal education, universal health and wellness or the economy. He won despite his awful track record on unemployment, persistent poverty, huge gulf between the haves and the have-nots, etc. Only bravado and show of strength against the little neighbouring state which should be of little consequence to huge India. But it appealed to the electorate.

@mark, try to make career in five years, here we are talking of building nation. All the problems you have mentioned didn't crop up in Modi's time. They were there inspite someone given chance for 60 years. Modi has done lot (including few mistakes, I m not his blind supporter) & Modi remains best bet to face these problems
