KARACHI: Licole Bellerz and Neighborhood clubs have qualified by the semis of the ongoing Mehmood Ahmed Khan Trophy Basketball tournament being organized by KBBA in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Welfare Association at Arambagh court on Monday.

In the first semi-final, Licole Ballerz beat Patrician Stars 32-28.

Main scorer for the winners was Khizer Munir (18 points). He was well assisted by Hasan Motiwala and Hamza who scored 8 points each.

For the losers, the main contributors were Andy Larkin (12), Jonathan (10) and Richard (8).

In the second semi-final, Neighbourhood Club overcame One Unit Club 41-39 after a close and sensational fight that went into extra time. Ali Ahmed (18), Raja Jahanzeb (12), Hamad N.D. Khan were in the forefront of team’s victory.

Ather Rajput (14), Kashif (10) and Tashfeen (9) played brilliantly for the losers but hey could not save their team for defeat.

Earlier, players of both teams were introduced to Municipal Commissioner Barkat Ali. KBBA chief Ghulam Muhammad Khan and Abdul Nasir were also present on the occasion.
