LAHORE: The Pakistan Television Lahore Centre is all set to air its latest drama serial, Tootay Patay, from the first week of June.

The serial featuring Asim Bukhari, Kashif Mehmood, Fareeha Jabeen, Roohi Khan and Ayesha Khan besides others is in its last phase of production. The serial has been penned by Jahanzaib Qamar and directed by Shaukat Changezi.

The 18-episode serial revolves around the concept of keeping alive traditions and traditional values, how the elderly needed to be respected and honoured and how the old generation faces opposition from the younger lot when it comes to keeping traditions alive.

The serial is based around a family that belongs to the Walled City. It is shot in villages in the outskirts of Sargodha city; most of the scenes are shot in narrow and small streets of the old town depicting old havelis adorned with traditional motifs from the Mughal era.
