LAKKI MARWAT: Two brothers were gunned down over a land dispute in Abakhel area, police said on Friday.

They said Sajjad Ali Shah and Anwarullah were attacked by their rivals when they were busy in harvesting gram crop. They said the attackers escaped the scene after committing the double murder.

Complainant Shahabuddin told police that he along with his nephews, Sajjad Ali Shah and Anwarullah and other relatives, was harvesting gram crop when Azizullah and Siffat came there and opened fire on them. He said his nephews received multiple bullets and died on the spot, while and his other relatives escaped the attack.

Police said the villagers shifted the bodies to the government city hospital where these were handed over to relatives after postmortem. They said investigation had begun into the murder after registration of cases against the killers.
