LAHORE: The Punjab government seems indecisive as it is transferring and posting senior bureaucrats time and again.

The government had transferred Food Secretary Shoukat Ali and posted him as Agriculture Secretary on April 14. The next day his (April 14) posting orders were cancelled and he was posted as the Higher Education Department Secretary.

It did not stop here as his HED posting was withdrawn on April 16. The very next day (April 17) Mr Shoukat Ali was posted as Board of Revenue Senior Member.

Similarly, senior bureaucrat Momin Agha was transferred from the post of Higher Education Department Secretary and posted as Information and Culture Department Secretary. Following Mr Shoukat Ali’s transfer, Mr Agha was again posted as HED head and was given the additional charge of information and culture department secretary.

Another senior bureaucrat Dr Wasif Khurshid was transferred from the post of Agriculture Secretary and posted as Transport Secretary on April 14. However, his transfer order was withdrawn the next day.

BoR senior member Tariq Najeeb Najmi, a BS-22 officer, has been repatriated to the Establishment Division.

Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari, a BS-20 PMS officer, has been transferred from the post of member (Judicial-I) Board of Revenue and posted as transport department secretary/ chairman Provincial Transport Authority.
