DERA GHAZI KHAN: The PML-N-backed independent candidate has won the slot of deputy mayor of the Municipal Corporation by defeating the PTI contestant.
Eight aspirants obtained symbols to contest the election of deputy mayor -- a slot that was vacated by Sheikh Israr. Syed Dilawar Shah obtained 15 votes while his rival candidate Zulqernain got 11 votes. Sherbaz Buzdar got four votes.
MPA Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari while speaking to Dawn expressed elation over the victory of the candidate backed by the PML-N.
