KARACHI: Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail on Pakistan Day conferred civil awards on 15 distinguished individuals hailing from various spheres of life from across the province.

The awards were conferred on the recipients at Governor House as chief secretary Mumtaz Ali Shah conducted the proceedings.

The governor greeted the recipients, saying that Pakistan was the true identity of all the award recipients.

Sitara-i-Imtiaz was conferred on Dr Shahid A. Sami, Dr Kaleemullah Lashari, Muha­mmad Ahmed Shah, Sajjad Ali, Bashir Farooqui, Iqbal Ali Lakhani and Muhammad Yunus Tabba.

The President’s Award for Pride of Performance was received by Prof Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi, Shabbir Jan, Siyani Khatoon, Taj Baloch and Sofia Yazdani.

Tamgha-i-Imtiaz was conferred on Prof Rukhsana Wamiq Zuberi, Sabihuddin Rehmani and Syed Ali Abbas.
