Nawaz suffered another angina attack, says Maryam

LAHORE: After meeting her father and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat jail on Tuesday, Maryam Nawaz said that he had suffered another angina attack late Monday night.

“I just got out of Kot Lakhpat jail. Mian Nawaz Sharif continues to have angina, last night being the latest recurrence,” Ms Nawaz said in tweet after the meeting. “In view of his health, the (regular) Thursday meeting would not be possible. Thank you very much for your love, prayers & support for MNS.”

The former premier’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan tweeted: “Mr Sharif is having recurrent angina. Significant coronary artery disease (heart disease) and co-morbidities (HTN, DM, CKD) coupled with stress have lead to exacerbation of symptoms & worsening of disease.”

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif, after a meeting with Nawaz Sharif, quoted him as saying that he was more worried about the future of the country’s health than his own.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the former prime minister thanked the people of Pakistan for their love, concern and prayers for his health, and said that this love and prayers were the source of his strength. Nawaz Sharif said that he valued Pakistan People Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s kind gesture to visit him.

Shahbaz Sharif said: “My concern about Nawaz Sharif’s health multiplies with every meeting with him after witnessing his rapidly deteriorating health”.

He held the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government responsible for Mr Sharif’s condition and said that the government believed that mere lip service would absolve it for the responsibility for deteriorating health of the three-time premier.

The PML-N chief said that although Nawaz Sharif’s health was deteriorating, his spirits were higher than ever and his resolve was getting stronger.

Nawaz is a criminal, declared by the Supreme Court for corruption and money laundering. Decades of rule and Pakistan has no good hospital for him, and they want to go to England for treatment speaks volumes about now banned 4 life and behind bars criminal.

When they're in power they have no health issues, but when they're in jail all of a sudden they have multiple diseases & ask the courts to give them a bail. What about other prisoners? They should also get the same level of health treatment as Nawaz is getting or if he's given bail on the basis of deteriorating health then every prisoner should be given the bail too. Should have thought about consequences of committing corruption, Sharif family.

Don't worry about our country Nawaz.Its been well taken care of by IK. Kindly take care of yourself and take your regular medication. If anything were to go wrong with you, Maryam and Shabaz wouldn't waste time in pointing fingers at IK.

He is a big drama and will keep suffering these attacks as long as he remains in jail. His sole aim to flee to UK under the garb of health issue. He shouldn’t be allowed to play his trickery. Remember now he will mobilize his allies inside and outside Pakistan to campaign for him under the pretext of human rights to get rid of jail term.

I am not a PMLN supporter (in fact I hate some of their policies) but it is shameful that same type of comments were being shared for his late wife and now he is on target. Yes, there is corruption but he is not the only one involved in corruption. Peshawar BRT is a mega project involving mega corruption ( it has consumed more money than the three other similar projects together)

Nawaz might be a three time PM but is a convicted criminal and sitting government has no role in the issue. His bail request is pending with the courts and PTI government is not responsible for Nawaz`s corruption, his conviction by court of law and his stubborn refusal to be shifted to the hospital and refusing angiography in this country. He should be treated like any other criminal and no less or no more. law should be the same for every body. Shame on Nawaz family in trying to blackmail the government. Nawaz family do not think our hospitals and doctors are worthy of treating them.

Anybody can play with opportunity, Peon has Rs, 1000/- scop, Clerk has little more, Officer has big more, Boss has maximum & the mighty politicians has unlimited. Most important is those who have unlimited opportunity to be corrupt,& still they are honest are the real heros. But the question is how many people we have.? 10 % good, 20 % better, more than 50 %, you are on the right track.
