Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood met Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday, the Foreign Office said in a statemetn.

According to the Foreign Office, Mahmood took Prime Minister Khan's advice on Pak-India relations before he returned to his post in New Delhi.

Late last month, a crisis gripped the region after the intrusion of Indian Air Force jets into Pakistani airspace following the killing of Indian troops in a suicide blast in India-occupied Kashmir.

Two intruding IAF jets were later downed by Pakistan and a pilot was captured. He was later released as a unilateral goodwill gesture.

Amidst rhetoric by Indian officials in the aftermath of the attack, Pakistan had called back its high commissioner in India for consultations on Feb 18. It was announced that the high commissioner will be returning back to India as part of Pakistan's peace initiative.

The way PM IK dealt with India , no one can be more qualified,then him. Six months into his tenure, he controlled India, turned economy, uplifted countries image and helped US in Afghanistan peace. That is a lion of a leader.

Truly speaking I have been following the world affairs for a long time and it brought to my attention that the recent event of conflict between Pakistan and India,here I observed the PM of Pakistan had controlled the situation wisely without making things going out of hands.Actually the PM Imran Khan should be credited for his diplomacy that he initiated with calmness and patience to enable to ease the war scenario. I really admire and respect his statesmanship and he has convinced that he is the man for peace..

@Babar Ali, From your point of view only NASA TOP Scientist / Engineer should be the President of US, right? Democratically elected representative and Public service employee have their own jobs. Pakistan MUST have dynamic and personable people in their Embassies.

PM Khan is really committed to peace overtures and now PM Modi has to take initiative. Past governments have failed to solve the murderous situation. Only selfless act can solve the problem lingering since very long time. As Indian born in Sindh I want both nations to enjoy each others and realize we are brothers and not enemies.
