PESHAWAR: Top seed Mohammad Hamza, second seed Mohammad Ammad, Mutahir Ali and Huzaifa Zahid reached the semi-finals of the National Junior U-15 Squash Championship here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Thursday.

In the first quarter-final, PAF’s Hamza faced tough resistance from Ashab Irfan of Punjab before the former won the marathon battle 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, 11-5.

Ammad comfortably defeated Abdullah of Abbottabad 11-5, 11-6, 12-10 in the second quarter-final. In the remaining last-eight matches, Mutahir easily overcame Punjab’s Usman Butt 11-5, 11-6, 11-6 and Huzaifa Zahid of Punjab smothered his provincial mate Junaid Khan 11-9, 11-5, 11-9.
