KARACHI, July 4: At least three passengers died and 13 others were wounded in a road accident reportedly occurred due to over speeding on Makran Coastal Highway late on Sunday night. Edhi sources said that the accident occurred when a Karachi-bound passenger coach (Al Mumtaz) over turned near Ormara while negotiating a turn in high speed. The injured and dead were brought to the Civil Hospital at 7am by Edhi ambulances.

The deceased were identified as Seema, 13, Abdul Razzak, 30, and Abdul Ghani, 35.

Hospital sources said that out of six wounded, still under treatment at the hospital, the condition of a girl was stated to be serious. Rest of the injured were discharged from the hospital after treatment, hospital sources said.

Majority of the passengers were resident of Karachi, who were retuning from Gawadar, police said. However, police were clueless about the coach driver who was believed to have escaped from the hospital after getting treatment.
