SWABI: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl central secretary general Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and central deputy chief Maulana Fazal Ali said on Thursday that they were working on a comprehensive strategy to expose the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government’s wrong policies and priorities.

Talking to mediapersons after addressing the party workers at Zarobi here, they said that the economic decline in the country was continuing unabated since the PTI took power after the 2018 general elections.

They said that the PTI had failed to fulfil the promises its leaders had made with masses during the election campaign.

About ‘Mardan million march’, they said that preparations were being made for it and the like-minded parties and groups had expressed readiness to participate in the event.

They said that the Mardan march would be followed by such gatherings in other cities of the country and this would culminate in Islamabad.

“We hope that it would be a big gathering and a no-confidence against the rulers,” Maulana Haideri remarked.

He said that the party workers were giving final touches to the preparations for the march.

He said that instead of giving jobs to 10 million unemployed youth of the country, the ruling party had turned many people jobless under the garb of anti-encroachment drive.

Maulana Ali said that inflation had touched new heights during the last six months, income sources of the people turned limited and it had become difficult for them to meet the needs of their families.

“Such a scenario in the country usually leads to breakdown of the law and order,” he warned and said that it was the responsibility of the ruling party to provide opportunities to the people to become economically prosperous.

Maulana Ali said that in fact the PTI leadership was responsible for the prevailing economic mess in the country.
