Overdue payment

Published February 12, 2019

Pakistan has been heavily fined by international courts in the recent past for not fulfilling payments for international contracts in the past.

Similarly, a large corporation of the United Arab Emirates has not made full payment for the sale of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited for 12 years. There are reports circulating in the social media and the press that this company is now ready to negotiate the final payment which comes to around $800 million and resolve all outstanding issues.

Considering, the high charges that Pakistan has been forced to make, one hopes that Pakistan also asks this company to pay a profit on the outstanding payment of the past 12 years or be prepared to pay a fine.
