Whats wrong with these people? They pass verdicts withou any know how of business. Instead of completely banning advertising theres a need to ascertain the claim that is being advertised. Consumer courts should inquire matters on case to care basis.

Societies should advertise after the houses are ready.

If the order, has to remain in place for a period of two months, will the fraudulent practices disappear in such a short time? What about the advertisements of CDA that are equally deceptive? Example is 2005 open balloting of I-15 plots and apartments still nowhere to be seen, after having collected the whole prices from the applicants?

Very good decision, meanwhile famous personalities should also be prudent while lending their images to be placed on bill boards and posters of property dealers/developers, that only add credence to the scheme and misleads the general public.

It seems, we don't have really required ability and intention to help people. To put a ban on advertising is an incomplete step because without advertising how can people Know but what was required is that whatever they advertise, that must be legalised and passed through government offices. Apart from this, as a first step every private institution before advertising must get registered under some legal process and there must be something as a guarantee that if they fail in providing what they have advertised or promised,there must be a legal action against them. This is what no government does to save the people. Lastly, housing is a need and likewise private sector involvement is also needed only required factor is to be honest and capable for the sake of the country and the people.
