LAHORE: The title clash of International Kabaddi Taakra will be played between India and Pakistan Greens teams at the Punjab Stadium here on Sunday.

The third position match between Iran and Pakistan Whites will also be held at the same venue earlier.

The overcast conditions and intermittent rain in the city, however, pose a threat for the Sports Board Punjab to hold the event as planned.

Both Indian and Iranian teams, though, visited Punjab Stadium on Saturday to have a practice session but the rainy weather denied them the opportunity.

Indian captain Harjeet Singh, while talking to media, expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements and hospitality offered by the government of Punjab during their week-long stay. Both the visiting teams will fly back home on Monday.

Harjeet further said the competition among all the teams was tough and any team could win the title clash.

Nadeem Sarwar, director general Punjab Sports said the provincial government would organise more international events in the days to come.
